[ He didn't stop here, but he pulled out his own chit. He could at
least cover his half of the meal. It wasn't a date, right? So neither
should pay for the other, and besides, he felt weird letting Tex pay.
Eventually, he hoped, he could convince her he wasn't incompetent at all.
He actually wasn't. He was smart. Maybe to smart for his own good, and deep
down a bit to angry at his circumstances to always do the smart thing.
]
[It's close enough to a compliment, she has high standards and it takes a while for any sort of competency to be seen.
Him paying for half is fine with her. Once things are paid for, she tucks the box of cookies under her arm and heads out. Her next words are low and teasing as they leave the restaurant.]
[ He affects mock shock, leaning slightly in to speak back in those
same low tones but easily heard by passer by if they bothered to listen.
]
Darling, really, not in public. You know I don't like showing off. You'll
just have to wait until we get home.
[ He chuckled, but nodded his head at her to show he understood what
she actually meant as they made for a quieter spot away, out of the way and
less likely to cause a panic when he drew out the weapon and offered it to
her pommel first. ]
[Good lord. She rolls her eyes at the comment, but follows because she knows that this isn't something that can be done anywhere, even in the military district.
Once the gun is offered, she takes it, checks to make sure the safety is on, and tucks it away on her persona and out of sight.]
Yeah, didn't think I needed to take you home for this. I'll send you a picture of Omega enjoying the scrap when I get back.
Keep it up and maybe he'll let you rub his belly next time he sees you.
[Gun and cookies in tow, she flashes him a small smile and waves as she turns heel to head towards her bike. She's never been one for goodbyes and they'll see each other around.]
I'll be sure to buy myself a cake when that happens to celebrate!
[ He watches her go, smiling a bit to himself. She was an interesting
woman, was Tex. He dug into his pocket for his own keys and went to his own
bike, sleek black, dark grey, and flashes of bright blue, though still
scratched a bit from the riots. Well, he'd have her good as new in no time.
He glanced back one more time at Tex, threw her a wave, and then gunned his
engine, heading out. ]
Re: Day 182, Evening; Action
I'll take that as the highest compliment.

I'll be sure to print it out and frame it. I made the dog happy for the first time.
