I'm the one that put my neck on the line to keep his ass from getting reamed by the others. I'm not going to go tell them what he's gotten himself into.

Right now, anything Bifrons may do will be under lock and key. They've the rest of the city breathing down their necks.

But we can't tell the others. Not right away.

No one that would do anything. Our CO wanted the split, but I don't think she's looking to make waves with them unless it directly endangers civilians.

This would be too much of a hunch for her to act on it.

Any CO worth their salt will at least listen. They wouldn't have given you the position you have if they weren't prepared to at least do that.

Particularly given the source. Unless the fact some details are credited to the one Callsign who's been particularly loyal to the old parent company are going to be a mark against it.

Beyond that, we can only watch and wait. [and she doesn't like that at all]

[She shakes her head.] Not sure I want her involved if she's going to label him a threat to get rid of. She has our files, she knows what he's done and she's grown fond of Church.

She'd listen, I'm just not sure it'll lead anywhere worthwhile.

Pity. But that doesn't surprise me.

Until we have more information, I think, for now, we'll have to keep our ears open, and keep this to ourselves. I don't want to cause unnecessary drama through the assumptions of others.

I'll let you know if I hear anything if you do likewise. They can't keep everything locked up in their labs.

It's what they might let out that I'm worried about.

Besides what they may or may not be doing in terms of AI research? No. Nothing I can think of.
